dc.description.abstractThe article offers a case study concerning the effects of the entrance of Telefónica among the shareholders of Telecom Italia in the Brazilian and Argentinean telecom markets. Through this case study, the article aims at showing that the competition authorities of the emerging economies have a limited range of remedies available when reviewing multi-jurisdictional transactions and that more international cooperation is, thus, needed in this area.en
