Abstract

The collection reveals little known details of persecution of Kim Khadeev (1929–2001), a representative of Minsk intellectual underground: his relegation from the university, two criminal cases (1951 and 1962), imprisonment in psychiatric jail. Wide context of events is shown (campaign to fight "cosmopolitanism", samizdat). Among the persons involved there are writer Pavel Ulitin, poet and translator Yurij Aikhenvald, theatre critic Aleksandr Asarkan, Most documents are published for the first time.
