Abstract
The pivotal role of technology in today's global order has led to new transnational disputes. Facing governance and security challenges in emerging tech areas - from artificial intelligence to semiconductors, and from cybersecurity to internet governance - Tech Diplomacy has become a critical dimension of diplomatic dialogues. Here, state actors, industry, and civil society engage in both multilateral and multi-stakeholder dialogues. The purpose of this roundtable is to examine the efficacy and constraints of existing diplomatic practices in the tech sector's international collaboration. Special focus will be given to the evolving interplay between technology and diplomacy, including the identification of effective practices and key participants in the realm of tech diplomacy. The discussion benefits from perspectives from tech diplomats, industry leaders, and scholars, who are approaching international cooperation in the tech sector from various angles.
