Abstract
In line with this volume’s aim to highlight how countries govern and address religion – and particularly religious minorities – this chapter focusses on religious diversity governance in contemporary Italy, the existing official recognition of (and lack thereof ) religious groups, and the regulations between the state and the different confessions practised by various religious communities, old and new.
