dc.description.abstractThis conference paper describes the burgeoning economic security policies taken by the Japanese government since the late Abe administration. It argues that the main factor for this shift is politically driven as opposed to being bureaucratic driven. Policy recommendations for Japanese domestic policies as well as foreign policy regarding various potential international collaboration on economic security is also presented.en
