Abstract
This is an essay on Albania’s political history since ancient times authored by Klodiana Beshku and revised by Gentiola Madhi for the period 2023-2024. It is part of the regional survey “Central and South-Eastern Europe” (CASEE), which is published by Routledge and forms part of our Regional Surveys of the World series (a link to the latest edition is here: Central and South-Eastern Europe 2023 - 23rd Edition - Europa Public (routledge.com). The essay provides an overview of political developments in Albania, with an emphasis on recent years.
