Abstract
This panel aims to address the regulation of “GenAI”. It will discuss opportunities and risks of GenAI, as it reshapes the way we produce and consume any content, including text, software, image, video or sound. It will focus on how GenAI can be harnessed for good by regulating its development, deployment, and use while enabling and supporting innovation and competitiveness. Speakers will address social, ethical and legal issues, with reference to the AI Act provisions on general purpose AI, as well as to data protection, intellectual property, fundamental rights. democracy and social justice.
