Abstract
This roundtable will discuss the record of the EU on bolstering democracy since the last European Parliament elections in 2019 and ask what next for the EU. It will include a discussion of the Democratic Resilience, the Conference on the Future of Europe, the new European Citizen Panels in Spring 2023 and 2024, the EP’s Agora and the European Citizens Initiative record as well as the Defense of Democracy Package issued in December 2023.
