dc.description.abstractMany observe that Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine is a “turning point in our history” (Draghi, Macron). The war brought transatlantic allies together, it changed the EU membership prospects for the countries of Eastern and South-eastern Europe and accelerated the creation of new institutional layers such as the European Political Community. It also hardened the cleavage between Russia and the EU. How can we envision a European security architecture for the future? What is the accession process meant to accomplish? This panel will feature expertise in peace and conflict from various international organisations such as the EU, NATO, and the OSCE.en
