Abstract
In keeping with this volume’s aim to go beyond the binary between constructivism and essentialism in debates about Romani identity in contemporary Europe, this interview with the directors of the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) intends to provide a first-hand account of one of the most symbolic and debated sites of Romani culture and identity recognition of recent times.
