Abstract
'Extracts from the Encyclopédie" consists of five extracts concerning Islam from Diderot and d’Alembert’s 'Encyclopédie ou Dictionnaire raisonnée des sciences, des arts et des métiers' (1751-1772), translated into English by the author and preceded by a brief introduction.
