Abstract
This article presents a transcription and English translation of the section on dog-hunger/canine hunger (cu'l-kelb) from Sakızlı İsa Efendi's (d.1640) Devaü'l-Emraz, a manual on a multitude of disease states, produced at the court of Sultan Ibrahim.
