Abstract
The aim of this text is to crystallize the challenges of European railway liberalization for Switzerland, as well as for the railway freight. In order to do that, I will proceed in three steps: I will first recall European railway liberalization. I will then describe the Swiss developments. Finally, I will identify the challenges of the European evolution for Switzerland in general and for Swiss freight in particular.
