Abstract
This second EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy (EU-SDFA) e-book offers an overview of the main trends and topics relevant to the Academy. The EU-SDFA is a technical support project launched by the European Commission in October 2022, in cooperation with the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) and the Florence School of Banking and Finance (Robert Schuman Centre, EUI). The e-book entails two sections with a total of nine contributions. The first section builds on last year’s e-book and provides an update and reflections on key technological trends shaping the financial industry as well as relevant EU regulatory initiatives. The second section of this year’s e-book deep-dives on the latest and arguably most defining trend of the past couple of years: the rise of artificial intelligence. The e-book is intended to enable past and future EU-SDFA participants to complement their learning experiences, while also providing valuable insights to readers interested in understanding the interplay between digital finance and supervision.
