The presentation analyses how to think about legitimacy theoretically, briefly mentioning the main themes of Vivien A. Schmidt’s recent book ‘Europe’s Crisis of Legitimacy: Governing by Rules and Ruling by Numbers’ as an example of the crisis of legitimacy.
