This thesis will conceptualise Institutional Transformation by analysing economic crises in two different regions and countries. The current literature on institutional analysis in Politics and International Relations has six main modes of analysis: (1) normative institutionalism that emphasise the reason why the new institutionalism emerge, (2) theorising institutionalism through rational choice theory and behavioural approaches, (3) analysing the dynamics of institutions through historical perspectives, (4) analysing the current trend in the institution by empirical data, (5) defining the ideational debates of the institutions through the lens of constructivist, and (6) approaching institutions from the sociological perspective. Although this body of literature greatly helps us understand the institution that forms our society, it remains insufficient to capture the incremental change of the institution.en
