We live in an era of “Challenge Sharing”. Though the US is the only super power, its willingness to engage in international crises to provide solution is weakened significantly, so US allies and like- minded countries should share responsibilities for dealing with the challenges collectively. So, the rule of the game is to create majority so that the solution can be accepted more widely. To make more meaningful friends, we first need to understand which countries will become critical in our future efforts. This piece provides with some predictions as to what may happen in the world in 10-20 years to realise who are the priority partners. With the future trends in mind, how can Japan and Europe work together to realize a safer and more stable Indo-Pacific? This piece come up with few sets of recommendations.
