The ATTAC in Argentina network is presented in this article as a paradigmatic case that illustrates how the transnational diffusion of an issue and organization created in the North to the Global South suffers from severe difficulties to adapt to local conflicts, frames and organizational traditions. Based on a soft network analysis and a dynamic perspective the article presents the whole history of ATTAC Argentina with the purpose of showing how a par excellence alter-globalization SMO as ATTAC had experienced a downward scale shift process in order to survive outside the French context.
