dc.description | The EUI's School of Transnational Governance launched the Europe Hub of Reform for Resilience (R4R) Commission with an online summit. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, the event brought together global leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss infodemics, the global vaccine roll-out and the future of work. | |
dc.description.abstract | The global COVID-19 crisis has entered a decisive phase: health emergencies continue around the world with virus mutants fueling new infection waves. Inoculation campaigns race – at different speeds – to immunise populations and to allow the roll back of economic and social restrictions. Meanwhile, decision makers in politics and business set out to plan reforms for healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable post-COVID economies and societies. The EUI School of Transnational Governance invited some of the most involved global leaders and experts from Europe, Asia, Africa and North America to discuss the state of play of the crisis mitigation and shed light on an emerging reform agenda: COVID-19 can become a catalyst for a healthier model of growth and globalization. The 'European COVID Summit' focused three core themes: 1. Infodemic and Tackling Online Disinformation; 2. The Global Vaccine Rollout ; 3. A Healthier Work Environment | en |
